With this jutsu, the user can make themselves disappear, allowing them to approach their target unnoticed. Once completed, a tree and roots will grow at the target's feet and restrict their movements. Once the opponent believes that they are captured, the user can then appear above their opponent from the tree's trunk and kill the target. In the Kurama clan filler arc of the anime, this jutsu seems to be quite versatile, with a wide range of variations on the standard nature theme. In addition to the disappearing and tree-growing effects of the jutsu, the user can produce flowers, seedpods, vines and multiple trees.

Narakumi no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will use the rat hand seal to cause a circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. Once cast the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion.

History
History: Kinai is from the glorious village of the Mist. He is also the last known prodgiy of the kurama clan. Kinai has a demon called The Idou Monster inside of him which gives him inredible powers in genjutsu. The idou gives him the ability to create genjutsu so powerful that not only can it not be resisted, but it can actually convince the brain to make the illusions real. As a kid Kinai lost control of the Idou and killed both of his parents. So from then on he has been fending on his own learning how to control the monster, and to this day he has enrolled himself in the academy and made his way to be a genin.
After bring a genin Kinai was eager to sign up for the chunin exams. When he did he passed the exams easily by using his genjutsu. During the exams the monster took control once again and made the genjutsu so real it killed the member by makin ghim do suicide.
He was so proud of being the highest ranked chunin in the mist village. He spent 1 year doing nothing but training his genjutsu in the mountains and also training to control the monster The Idou and figuring out how to use his powers. Well shortly after his trining in the mountains he joined the jounin exam and passed that by manipulating the teachers minds.
After the exams the kage confronted him for cheating on the jounin exams but he wasnt mad he wanted to sign kinai up for the special Anbu. He was placed on the interrogation squad as the leader. Kinai was the best the mist village has ever seen because he used his excelling genjutsu to interrogate the prisoners. Which was more effective, and now kinai moved to the leaf and became the interrogator there
